Josep Poblet is an artist who began his career as a designer, but left office work behind to return to the manual craft he knew from his youth. The influence of family trades — working with earth, machines and the workshop — still shapes his approach to form and meaning today. From the very beginning, he has been drawn to light: its materiality, its capacity for movement and contrast, and its power to define space and emptiness.
Today he combines teaching at design schools and collaborating with other studios with his own artistic practice, in a studio originally founded in Barcelona and relocated to his hometown of Vila-seca in 2022.
