OUROBOROS is a multimedia collective working with installation, audiovisual environments and interactive objects. The materials of their practice are light, sound, space and code; neural networks and generative systems are their working tools.
The collective moves from concept to technical realisation without any break between the artistic and the engineering. This defines the nature of their work: precision of execution and openness of form do not contradict each other.
The name refers to the ancient symbol of a serpent devouring its own tail — an image of cyclicality and continuous renewal. For OUROBOROS, this describes their working process: concept generates technological solution, and technology opens new artistic possibilities.
