Built in 1843, the Arsenal building originally served as a warehouse for weapons and uniforms, and was later used to store topographic maps. Today, the space hosts interdisciplinary projects, educational, inclusive, and children's programs that engage diverse audiences, introducing them to artistic and research processes. Arsenal events often bring together various forms of contemporary culture: visual art, media art, music, theater, and dance.

In 2020, the Arsenal became a branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. Its mission is to create a space for artistic communication that fosters the development of individuals, society, and the territory.
