Media artist Desilence will present a projection mapping on the facade of the Garantiya Bank.
The Garantiya Bank building, constructed in 1995 by architects Alexander Kharitonov and Evgeny Pestov, is a striking example of Nizhny Novgorod's new architectural school — a revelation in Russian architecture of the 1990s. For this project, the architects were awarded the State Prize.
From the outside, the building resembles a fairy-tale house from the stories of the Brothers Grimm. Its architecture is highly distinctive: it features ceramic tiles reminiscent of ancient Russian chambers, the fluid lines of Art Nouveau, and a futuristic tower whose top resembles a flying saucer.
