On Nizhne-Volzhskaya Embankment, you will encounter a special installation by the festival's title partner T-Bank, created in collaboration with dreamlaser and metanoeia studio.
Also located on the embankment will be a multimedia cube showcasing digital works by graduates of the Kafedra platform — the curator of INTERVALS' educational program.
Until the 18th century, Nizhne-Volzhskaya was chaotically built up with merchants' wooden houses and stalls (the Nizhny Posad market). During the Soviet era, the area began to take on its familiar features: Chkalov Staircase was laid out and the monument to the boat "Geroy" ("Hero") was installed, but later, in 2008, part of Nizhne-Volzhskaya was closed off by a blue fence that only "fell" in 2018.
Today, the embankment thrives with activity: concerts, festivals, and sporting events. It is comfortable and beautiful, with infrastructure balanced by the natural surroundings — views of the wide river, open spaces, lawns, and greenery.
