In Sergievsky Ravine, located beneath the pedestrian bridge on Fedorovsky Embankment, IF '26 open call winner Anton Levdikov will present an interactive installation.
The ravine was formed by soil erosion from rain and snowmelt — a characteristic feature of Nizhny Novgorod's hilly terrain. As early as 1834, Emperor Nicholas I devised a plan to improve this area, which included constructing a bridge across the ravine. However, it took a century to realize this idea — the bridge was finally built in 1968.
In 2021, a modern landscape park was built around Sergievsky Ravine in honor of Nizhny Novgorod's 800th anniversary. The area now features sports zones, an amphitheater, and recreation spots offering stunning views of the city and the famous Nizhny Novgorod sunsets.
